Getting into Spring Swing

Hard to believe I have not posted in three months. Here's the deal: The book that became both January and February read was "Look Homeward Angel," by Thomas Wolfe. In spite of my great admiration for those who both finished it and found something to enjoy, for me it was another dead classic. (Caveat: I've been finding the rereading of classics to be singularly unsatisfying lately. I just returned Carlos Castaneda's "Journey to Ixtlan" to the library, astonished that I ever found it interesting, let alone profound. I'm frankly up for new material.)

Our March read is Jayne Anne Phillips' "LARK & TERMITE," and I'm 60% through it. Incredible writing and I can't wait for the discussion. Thanks, whoever suggested it.

Let the Great World Spin is great, and I'm looking forward to our discussion. And thanks for keeping up the blog!
