Emotions were overflowing . . .

On Friday, May 21, we all braved unexpected traffic (whatever happened to working from home?) to gather for the first time in fifteen months in person at Debra's. Thank you, Debra for fixing a wonderful meal and as always being the most gracious of hostesses. Being together was familiar yet unfamiliar, and we were amazed when we realized that the last time we met in person was also at Debra's!

I think we all appreciate each other more after this long, long separation, barely relieved by Zoom meetings. I am thankful we all survived Covid, Shelter in Place and even vaccinations without a hitch.

What a wonderful group we are, and what a celebration! After we ate, we fired up Zoom so Jo, Agnes, and Kate could share the book discussion with us. We did manage to talk about HAMNET, which we all enjoyed in spite of sorrowful themes therein. We loved that Agnes, Shakespeare's wife, was a falconer.

Let's hope for many more years of bookclub, IN PERSON!

PS. Note how I cleverly (clunkily) put Robin in the photo - she took the photo.
